Playing The Chess of Fate.

Prologue:
Introducing the Creator-God, all-wise holy-prankster
Of men’s fates, he is a chess grandmaster.
Even if some refuse to acknowledge his name,
They are still no smarter than pawns in his game.
/ Going back in time to an age before humans started playing chess, we see three pawns… /

1:
Having a lack-full beginning as a servant
Was a pot-bellied wealthy Arabian merchant;
To follow the Enchanting Star, he folded up his house to be sold,
And bundled the weight of it all in gold.
/ Oh! And he kept a Shi’ite assassin with him to guard him… /

2:
A noble savage raised in an African monastery
Saw the Enchanting Star as a greatest mystery.
He then set out with all his life’s essence
Symbolised by his jar of frankincense.
/ Like Prince Akeem Joffer (Eddie Murphy) leaving Zamunda at last for a life of discovery at America… /

3:
Hammered and shredded, this woman is a soul at loss.
The only thing she lives for is to caress a heavy wooden cross.
Seeing the Enchanting Star she set out on the spur,
Squeezing out of her cross a tincture of myrrh.
/ I, an Alchemist, charitably helped convert the cross (symbol of her sorrows) into the myrrh bitter perfume… /

Epilogue (Matthew 2:1-11) The three wise men present baby Jesus their gifts:

Arab: Jesus, take my gold in exchange for your richness,
And take my Shi’ite to protect you from Herod.
African: I have been “forming holier-than-thou” in self-righteousness,
But my frankincense smells like “fart” before you who is himself God.

Sufferer: My perfume has been donated to the house of Mary,
To be kept for the day you meet your worse-than-mine fate.
God: You lads willingly did my bidding, go make merry;
Whichever way it turns out, I always checkmate!

Stained glass at St John the Baptist’s Anglican Church http://www.stjohnsashfield.org.au, Ashfield, New South Wales. Illustrates Jesus’ description of himself “I am the Good Shepherd” (from the Gospel of John, chapter 10, verse 11). This version of the image shows the detail of his face. The memorial window is also captioned: “To the Glory of God and in Loving Memory of William Wright. Died 6th November, 1932. Aged 70 Yrs.” (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Illumination is incubating impiety;
Idealism is incubating insanity.
In institutions injustice increases;
In impetuosity iniquity increases.

Just Jesus justify juveniles;
Jollify jostled jackhammered juveniles.
Jackals, jabberwockies, jactitators judging;
Jibbing jostling jabbers jabbing.

Keen Knight, Kind King;
Kingly Kindred knitly keeping.
Ken’s knotty, kale’s killing;
Keen knowledgeable kane’s keeling.

Living Lord, Light Lasting,
Lift lamenters, loners loving;
Liberate lagging lacking labourers.
Lacerate Leviathan, light-out Lucifer.

P.S.: impiety -lack of due reverence for God; impetuosity -impulsive tendencies; jackals and jabberwockies are the threats we face; jactitators stand for deception; jibbing -stubbornness; jabbers stand for foolishness; ken -knowledge; knotty -confusing; kale -money; kane -man; lacerate -cut.

Today’s Weather Song: calm, lonesome thoughts.

In prayer

In prayer (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The sky was bright this morning
Reminding us of an end to mourning
As we sail through the gloom
That hails us towards doom

The mid-day was warm
Reminding us of death to the worm
As we creep through life’s swamp
That left our souls damp

The sun at noon was hot
Reminding us of life’s hurt
As we see failures each day
That paint colours of gray

The evening breeze today was playful
Reminding us of days we feel playful
As we act as one super-cool
That eventually looks like a fool

-Epilogue-
Dear God, this night is fine
Remind me of treasures that are mine
As I walk through this life
Where evil is rife

-Amen.
